Grab a corner of the film and carefully pull the tint away from the glass. Remove the exterior trash bag and clean the window thoroughly with glass cleaner.

Keep it there long enough that you can loosen it from the glass with your fingernail approximately a minute. The Best Way to Remove Car Window Tint When Steaming As an alternative to the hairdryer approach a quicker way to add heat to your window tinting is by using a fabric steamer. Similar to using a hairdryer hover the fabric steamer over the window by about two inches.
Using a utility knife lift a corner of the window tint and start pulling. You can use a razor scraper or plastic scraper to cut the adhesive and ease removal. This method is likely to rip off the window film in smaller pieces but you should be able to remove everything with a little patience.
Chemical Effective but Messy. Using the fabric steamer hold the tool just above the surface of one corner of the window. Continue to let the steam do its work on the window tint until you notice that the material starts to loosen.

Remove the plastic weather covering by using a heat gun to loosen up the glue. Once the area is warm pull the covering to reveal the bolt as shown in the picture above. Keep the tint moist with ammonia as you strip.
